VE DAY!

Today is VE Day. Do you know what this stands for and why we are celebrating? Today is also a Bank Holiday. Why do we have bank holidays?

Today, if you would like, we have given you some work to do related to a hero. Not only a hero to us in Modern day Britain but a hero to all celebrating VE day.

We hope that you enjoy all of the celebrations that may be taking place in a safe way.

Cooking!

Over the last couple of weeks, you should have begun to get an idea for the sorts of products we import and export and the countries these products might come from! As one of your activities this week, we would like you to have a go a cooking a meal which include some of these imported foods! Examples might be making spaghetti bolognaise, chilli con carne, a curry etc. Or you could have a go at making a specific ingredient for example learning how to make pasta from scratch! Or hummus? Or even mozzarella cheese! We would love to see photos of what you made and how you made it! 🙂
