Topic Task 2:

Art – Afewerk Tekele

Last week you were asked to research the artist Afewerk Tekele and to choose your favourite painting of his. You were then asked to identify what is was you liked about it. This week we would like you to have a go at recreating your chosen painting! You can choose whether to try and copy it exactly or whether you want to change certain elements, for example, in this one I might change the number of people or I might change the colours of the sky. However, because I am recreating this painting in Afewerk Tekele’s style, I would still need to split my image into sections using straight lines to separate the colours for the sky like he has done. You can do this using pencils, crayons, felt tips or paints  – what ever you have at home! 🙂 We can’t wait to see photos of your finished art!
