https://www.thenational.academy/year-5/maths/describing-positions-and-coordinates-year-5-wk1-3#slide-2

Watch the video and complete the activities. Then you will need to do Tasks 2.1 and 2.2. After that, you have been set an 2Do on Purple Mash.

English

Reading Task 2:

Read through chapters 7 and 8 and have a go at answering the questions below. Remember to answer in full sentences and use evidence from the text where you can to support your answers!

Writing Task 2:

Following on from yesterday’s task, your next piece of work is to complete the 2Connect map for a for and against argument. Pick your 5 top arguments for each side and use the 2Connect tool, which has been set up for you on Purple Mash, to show your responses.

If you wanted to pick another question to debate, you are more than welcome to. Maybe it could be something that you and your family have been talking about over the past few weeks.

Spelling and Grammar Task 2:

Using all that we have learnt, complete the above mat. Answers can be found on the answers page. Please note some answers will be examples of what the answer could be.

Topic

Topic Task 2:

Yesterday you were asked to research what is meant by the term ‘Fairtrade’ and how this helps to support the farmers and workers. Today we would like you to go on a hunt for companies who support the Fairtrade scheme – you’ll know if they do because they will show the logo on their products.

You could either research these companies on the internet, have a look through your cupboards to see if you have bought some Fairtrade products (with or without realising!), or have a look along the shelves next time you go in to a shop.

Challenge: See if you can find more than 15!
