Maths Task 1:

Read through chapters 11 and 12 and have a go at answering the questions below. Remember to answer in full sentences and use evidence from the text where you can to support your answers!

Now work through the PowerPoint on ‘Balanced Arguments’ to help you with the next step.
Your next step is to write your own BALANCED ARGUMENT.
You need to write your discussion about ‘RAG PICKING’ and the effects that it has. You should choose the question that is going to be your title and then use your PLANNING SHEET. We have attached an example of a balanced argument to help you. When you have finished your balanced argument, don’t forget to share with your class teachers.
Spelling & Grammar Task 1:
This week, and for the next few weeks, we will be looking at the Year 5/6 spelling lists. These are the words that you are expected to know by the end of Year 6.
There are 5 spellings for you today:
amateur
ancient
apparent
appreciate
attached
For each of these spellings, there is a word mat for you to complete. You can do as many as you would like but make sure you start with the spellings that you find the most difficult.
Topic
Topic Task 1:
Using your research on Afghanistan, create a presentation with all of the things that you have found.
You will need to make sure that you have grouped your facts and placed them under similar headings.
