Reading Task 3:
Read through chapter 15 ( the last chapter!) and have a go at answering the questions below. Remember to answer in full sentences and use evidence from the text where you can to support your answers!
Writing Task 3:
You now have your BALANCED ARGUMENT about ‘Rag Picking’.
Your task for WEDNESDAY and FRIDAY is to create your own video news report about what you have found.
You should be the reported sharing your findings with the world. Maybe you can ‘interview’ a rag picker (ask one of the members of your family to help you) or interview members of the public (again, your family!) about their thoughts on what you have reported.
Watch the video below on how to make your own TV broadcast.
When you have created your video, please send it to Miss Dixon at: cdixon@coopersedge.gloucs.sch.uk so it can be shared on the blog!
Spelling and Grammar Task 3:
Use the PowerPoint presentation to think about complex sentences and embedded clauses. What do you need to make sure that they include? What do you know about the embedded clause? Where does it need to be located? Can it change?
Use your knowledge to write your own examples of complex sentences using embedded clauses. Maybe you could pick members of your family or friends to write your sentences about… or even your teacher!
