Kestrels and Eagles have been back in the pupil Kitchen this week. Some fantastic muffins have been produced. Well done to everyone.
Half term Rockstars
With half term fast approaching and a week of activities to plan, it would be amazing if the children could get into a habit of logging onto Timestable Rockstars regularly. The ‘Soundcheck’ function will test all of their times tables against the clock and provide the teachers with invaluable data as to where your child needs support.
Active RE
Wow, what an energetic RE lesson. Today year 5 learnt about the different names used to represent Jesus and the meanings behind them.
This was all done with an active twist. Lots of learning, lots of moving and definitely lots of fun!! 😊👍

Charlie Mackesy
We are delighted to have added Charlie Mackesy’s bestseller to our class and school library. This week, the children have been encouraged read it and share their thoughts about their own emotions. We are looking forward to discussing the hidden meanings and messages behind each of the characters over the next week.

Cookery
Greek food tasting afternoon.
The class made observations about the appearance of the food using appropriate descriptive language. After tasting the breads, feta, houmous and olives they recorded their observations in preparation for designing their own Greek food!

Forest School
We have been continuing to focus on our team work and building positive relationships in forest school so the children enjoyed their team games today. I think they made it their aim to get as muddy as possible though…sorry!

Active RE
Today year 5 learnt about the Old and the New Testament. They gained knowledge of the words Messiah, Liberator and Saviour.
This was all taught with a bit of twist…… a mixture of RE and PE together, which was great fun!

Tennis
Great efforts with tennis. We have been developing our hand eye coordination with a variety of different activities.
