Maths Task 3:

Maths Warm Up 3

 In this task, you will be looking at describing the position of shapes on a grid after they have been translated. First of all, complete the videos and activities on the Oak Academy website (there are two lessons for you today). After that, complete Task 3.1.

Read through chapters 9 and 10 and have a go at answering the questions below. Remember to answer in full sentences and to use evidence from the text where you can to support your answers.

Writing Task 3:

Today we are going to enter the planning stage of your balanced argument. 
For this, you will need:

  1. The research you have on ‘Rag Picking’
  2. The PowerPoint on how to write a balanced argument (see below) 
  3. The planning sheet for your balanced argument (see below) 

You need to now plan your for and against discussion points for your argument. Use the planning sheet to complete your ideas. 

I have attached a completed copy of a planning document based on ‘Should school uniforms be banned?’ to help you.
